OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Evergreen State College volleyball team fell to The College of Idaho 3-0 (25-23, 25-16, 25-17) Friday evening in the Costantino Recreation Center.

The Geoducks will play their final match of the regular season tomorrow night at 5 p.m. against Eastern Oregon. Evergreen will celebrate seniors Sage Burgmeier, Abigail Green and Lexi Sanchez after the match.

The Geoducks were led by Zoe Shaw, who had nine kills for the match and 10 digs for a double-double. Sierra Wolff had 25 assists and seven digs. Evergreen recorded six block solos for the match and hit a .099.

The Yotes were led by Austyn Mauzy, who had 17 kills on a .516 hitting percentage and Danielle Neuman added 15 kills. Sidney Frith recorded a double-double with 43 assists and 11 digs. College of Idaho recorded 10 serving errors for the match and hit a .393 as a team.

The first set went back and forth for most of it until a final tie at 23. The Yotes scored the next two points off of a kill by Neuman and kills by Emily Vandenberg. The second set was all College of Idaho and in the third set, the Yotes went up 6-2, but Evergreen was able to come back and tie the set and take the lead after a serving error by COI and three serving aces by Lily Stewart. The set was tied at 11-11 and COI went on a run and another run not long after and was able to take the win.
