TACOMA, Wash. – The Evergreen State College women's soccer team fell to Pacific Lutheran 6-0 on Saturday afternoon.

PLU scored two goals in the first half, first by Julia Causbie at 24:09 and again at 38:40 by Alyssa Jordan.

After the half, the Lutes came and scored four goals, the first an own goal by Evergreen at 61:46. The second goal of the half came at 63:43 by Hannah Cecil and Vivian Shinall scored at 81:17 and the final goal came at 84:46 by Kylie Brown.

Evergreen recorded five shots for the game with two on goal. Those two shots came from Celia Scruton. PLU recorded 29 shots for the game with 19 on goal.

Lucky Backus was back in the net for the Geoducks and recorded 14 saves, including eight saves in the first half.

Evergreen is back in action on Monday at Saint Martin's at 3:30 p.m. Afterwards, the Geoducks will open Cascade Collegiate Conference play on the road at Southern Oregon on Friday and at Oregon Tech on Saturday. Both games will be played at 3:30 p.m.
