ASHLAND, Ore. – The Evergreen State College volleyball team defeated No. 21 Southern Oregon 3-0 (27.25, 25.15, 25.20) Saturday night. With the win, Evergreen ended a 33-match head-to-head losing streak against the Raiders.
The Geoducks were led by
Hannah Rongen, who had 14 kills on a .500 hitting percentage.
Lily Stewart had 12 kills and
Zoe Shaw added 10 kills.
Sage Burgmeier led in the back row with 15 digs and
Sierra Wolff had 36 assists.
Southern Oregon was led by Hailey Van Well, who had 15 kills
Evergreen hit a .252 for the match to the Raiders' .098. Evergreen had 11 blocks and SOU recorded 24 attacking errors.
Volleyball is back in action on the road to face Walla Walla on Friday at 2 p.m. and see Lewis & Clark State at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
