ASHLAND, Ore. – The Evergreen State College women's soccer team fell to Southern Oregon 6-0 Friday afternoon to open Cascade Collegiate Conference play.
The Raiders scored three goals in the first half and scored another three in the second. Sarah Mauk scored two goals for SOU, the first at 4:04 and again at 55:05. Baylee Touey scored at 11:08 and Malaika Quigley scored at 21:35. The final two goals of the game were scored by Mia Santander (67:03) and Phoebe Bunn (67:20).
Evergreen recorded four shots for the match with three on goal.
Madison Spenker recorded one shot on goal, while
Brieanna Dell had two shots on goal.
Lucky Backus was back in the net for the Geoducks and had 15 saves.
SOU recorded 37 shots for the match with 21 on goal. Ashlynn Hernandez was back in the net for the Raiders and had three saves.
Evergreen is back in action tomorrow at Oregon Tech. The match will start at 2:30 p.m.
