KIRKLAND, Wash. – The Evergreen State College volleyball team defeated Northwest 3-2 (21-25, 25-21, 26-28, 25-21, 15-9) Tuesday night at the Kristi Brodin Pavilion. The Geoducks are 4-9 overall against the Eagles and Evergreen had lost the last three matchups. The last win came in 2018 in Kirkland.
Evergreen was led by
Lily Stewart, who had 20 kills on a .356 hitting percentage.
Hannah Rongen added 14 kills and
Tayler Parks had 10.
Sierra Wolff recorded 56 assists in the match and
Sage Burgmeier added 17 digs.
Northwest was led by Susana Bailey, who had 17 kills on a .424 hitting percentage. Megan Horne added 15 kills and Abi Broussard had 15 kills. Anna Saelens recorded 56 assists and Cristina Lorenz added 17 digs.
The Geoducks recorded 16 blocks for the match and had seven serving aces. Northwest recorded 29 errors for the match.
Evergreen is back in action this weekend at home, seeing Bushnell at 7 p.m. on Friday and Corban at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
