OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Evergreen State College volleyball team went extra points in the first set before falling to No. 7 Corban 3-0 (25-27, 10-25, 13-25) Saturday evening in the CRC.
The first set went back and forth, and the Warriors had a couple of opportunities to end the match but Evergreen was right there until a kill by Corban and a serving ace gave the Warriors the win.
The Geoducks were led by
Sierra Wolff, who had 22 assists and seven digs.
Sage Burgmeier added 18 digs.
Tayler Parks and
Zoe Shaw both had five kills.
The Warriors were led by Avari Ridgway, who had 12 kills, Rylee Troutman had 11 and Ally Tow recorded 10. Jaydn Mullen had 22 assists for the match and Ciarra Judson had 16. Kealani Ontai led on the back row with 15 digs.
Evergreen hit a .104 for the match to Corban's .349. The Geoducks had 16 errors to the Warrior's 13.
The Geoducks are back in action on the road to see Eastern Oregon on Friday at 7 p.m. and College of Idaho at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Both times are local to site.
