OLYMPIA, Wash. – After falling in the first set in extra points, The Evergreen State College volleyball team came back to win the next three sets to defeat Multnomah 3-1 (26-28, 25-20, 25-17, 25-14) Friday night at home to open the Cascade Collegiate Conference play.

Alexis Garrison picked up her first collegiate coaching win. Evergreen was led by
Zoe Shaw, who recorded 15 kills and added 11 digs for a double-double. Her second double-double on the season.
Lily Stewart added 14 kills on a .345 hitting percentage.
Sage Burgmeier led on the digs with 28.
Sierra Wolff led on the assists with 38 and had 13 digs for a double-double.
Multnomah was led by Kamaile Labanon, who had 19 kills and Jocelynn Porter recorded 13 kills. Alyssa Mehalovich led on the digs with 23 and Madison Gombio recorded 37 assists.
The Geoducks hit a .229 for the match and best .323 in the final set. Evergreen led on the blocked with 14 and had six serving aces.
The Geoducks are back in action on Saturday at 5 p.m. to see Warner Pacific at home. The Knights lost to Northwest tonight 3-0.
