OLYMPIA, Wash. – Evergreen hosted LC State for an exciting Cascade Collegiate Conference match. The Warriors defeated TESC in straight sets 3-0 (25-21, 26-24, 28-26).
 
Jadyn Kallenberger led the team in kills with nine to go along with her 19 digs and a pair of aces. Rylee Grams led the team in digs with 20 and Jessica Mitchell held the team-high in assists with 16.
 
Lewis-Clark (7-11, 6-7) opened the match with a 3-0 run. The Geoducks (2-14, 2-10) responded with a 3-0 run of their own and the two team were off to the races. The set was neck and neck most of the way until the Warriors used a 5-0 run to pull away and take a 17-13 lead. LC State went on to win the first set, 25-21.
 
The tenacity only rose in the second set as the two teams bucked down and battled through the second set trading runs. Evergreen used a late 3-0 run to tie up the match 24-24 but Lewis-Clark scored the next two points to win the set 26-24 and take a 2-0 lead.
 
The competition only rose in the final set as both teams fought for momentum throughout the entire set. The Geoducks were on the verge of forcing a fourth set but could not close out the set and LC State won the final set and the match.
