OLYMPIA, Wash. – After a scoreless first half, Warner Pacific used a second half goal to defeat the Geoducks 1-0.
Despite the 16-4 differential in shots attempted, it was just one goal that separated the two teams, unfortunately it wasn't in favor of Evergreen (1-6-1, 1-4-0).
The first half of the match was a defensive struggle as neither team could find solid footing to put together a quality attack.
In the 67
th minute of the match, Kiya Gramps found the back of the net to score the lone goal of the match and give WPU (4-6-1, 1-4-1) the lead.
The match ended a 1-0 contest in favor of Warner Pacific.
Amity Brookshire recorded seven saves in the match.
