Evergreen Early Attack Enough to Down Lions

OLYMPIA, Wash. – Brieanna Dell got busy fast, and in a hurry, assisting a goal and scoring one of her own in the opening minutes of the match to give the Geoducks their first win of the season.

Brieanna Dell was the star of the match as she recorded an assist and a goal before the 10-minute mark of the match.

Evergreen (1-5-1, 1-3-0) began the match locked in and Makayla McGilvrey received a perfect pass from Dell and sent it past the Lions' (3-6-1, 1-3-1) keeper for the first goal of the match in the fourth minute.

A few minutes later in the ninth minute, Dell lasered a shot from outside the box that found the back of the net to put TESC up 2-0 early.

The Geoducks held on to their lead and went into the half up 2-0 on Multnomah.

The second half tightened up defensively for both teams and feature an amazing save from Amity Brookshire in the 55th minute to keep her shutout intact.

Evergreen held on to their lead and won the match 2-0 for their first win and first conference win of the season.

TESC hopes to use this win as momentum as they face Warner Pacific on September 30th at 3 PM. More information available at gogeoducks.com.
