OLYMPIA, Wash. – The men's and women's track and field teams from The Evergreen State College men's and women's track and field teams are ready to compete at the 2026 Cascade Collegiate Conference Track and Field Championships, presented by U.S. Bank, in La Grande, Oregon, on Friday May 8 and Saturday, May 9. The CCC meet will be hosted by Eastern Oregon University.

CCC Championships Schedule

Evergreen has nine members of the men's team and eight members of the women's team who may compete this weekend. Some of the Geoducks have qualified in two events but may choose to focus on one event.

"We are excited to again have our highest-ever number of qualifiers for the CCC Championships!" Evergreen Assistant Cross Country and Track and Field Coach Katie Burnett said. "It's exciting seeing the day-to-day growth within the team, but comparing year-by-year really puts into perspective how much the team has developed. It's also very encouraging to the future of the program that the majority of our qualifiers this year are underclassmen. There's a bright future ahead and we're on our way there!"

This weekend's CCC Championships will begin on Friday, May 8 at 1 p.m. PDT. On Saturday, May 9 the schedule will begin with a graduation ceremony at 10 a.m. followed by event competition starting at 10:30 a.m.

Madison Palek (So.) qualified earlier this season to compete at the 2026 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the 5,000-meter race walk. Her top time of 24:53.88 leads the CCC and is ranked #3 in the NAIA this season. The NAIA Championships will be held from Wednesday, May 20 through Friday, May 22 in Ashville, North Carolina.
