OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Evergreen State College has received NAIA Champions of Character Five-Star recognition at the Silver level for 2025-26 for its commitment to character-driven athletics. In addition, the Cascade Collegiate Conference has been honored as a Champions of Character Five-Star Conference for 2025-26. Evergreen is a member of the CCC.

The Champions of Character program focuses on five key areas. The five core values are integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership. Institutions are measured on a demonstrated commitment to the Champions of Character program and earn points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition and character promotion.

Nationwide, a total of 203 NAIA colleges and universities were chosen as Champions of Character Five-Star Institutions. Scores were recorded on a 100-point scale with award levels of Gold (90-100 points), Silver (75-89 points), and Bronze (60-74 points). Six member institutions in the CCC received Gold status, while Evergreen and four other CCC members received Silver status.
