COMING UP: After a 10-day break from Cascade Collegiate Conference action, The Evergreen State College (1-9 overall, 1-4 CCC) seeks to get back into the win column when it plays at College of Idaho (2-8, 1-3) on Wednesday and Eastern Oregon (7-6, 3-1) on Thursday. The conference games are both slated to tip off at 5:30 p.m., though it should be noted that College of Idaho is located in Caldwell, which is in the Mountain time zone.

For the season the Geoducks average 59.9 points per game while giving up 75.7. While Evergreen outrebounds its foes by an average of 3.3 per game, it commits an average of 22 turnovers per game, a number that has been prominent during the losing skid. Gabi Fenumiai, a transfer from Peninsula College, continues to rank among the best in the conference in several categories. She sits third in scoring at 15.4 points per game, is fourth with 7.4 rebounds per game, and is fifth with a .525 field goal percentage. Senior post

ABOUT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Statistics reflect the record for the 'Yotes, who are averaging 61.3 points and 34.7 rebounds while allowing their opponents 71.4 points and 38.2 rebounds per contest. They shoot just .385 from the field compared to their opponents' .456, the latter mark putting them near the bottom of the CCC in field goal percentage defense. Petra Lumpert, a junior guard, is among the conference leaders with 13.4 points, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game. In addition, she shoots the ball at a .500 clip, also among the best in the CCC. Junior forward Jaycin Tini leads the team with 5.6 rebounds per game and she is second in scoring with 9.8 points per contest.
RECENT RESULTS: College of Idaho and Evergreen have split the season series three of the past four seasons, including the last two. Last year the teams won on their home courts, the 'Yotes prevailing, 65-59, and the Geoducks returning the favor,75-72.
ABOUT EASTERN OREGON: The Mountaineers, who host Northwest University on Wednesday before playing Evergreen on Thursday, are in the unfamiliar position of having lost six of their first 13 games, though at 3-1 in conference they are just one game out of first place. Since the 2001-02 season Eastern Oregon has been the preeminent women's basketball program in the Cascade Collegiate Conference with six outright and two shared league championships. It has won the last three CCC regular season titles while accumulating a 48-6 conference record, including a 16-2 mark a season ago. This year the Mountaineers average 63.6 points and 40.8 rebounds while allowing 53.5 points and 32.5 rebounds per game, and they are fourth among CCC team with an average of 15.6 assists per game. Senior guard Jordan Klebaum averages 12.0 points per game to lead her team, followed by sophomore guard Payton Parrish with an average of 9.8. Nikki Osborn, a senior forward, leads the team with 8.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. Expect Eastern Oregon to be in the title hunt as the conference season winds to a close in February.
RECENT RESULTS: Eastern Oregon has 14 straight wins over Evergreen dating back to the Geoducks' last win, which came at the end of the 2007-08 season. The Mountaineers swept the Geoducks last season, winning 75-50 in La Grande and 63-59 in Olympia.
EVERGREEN FALLS TO SOU, OIT: In its most recent games played prior to the Christmas break, the Geoducks lost home games to Southern Oregon, 95-50 on Dec. 19, and to Oregon Tech, 81-56, on Dec. 20.
Victoria Ellebycame off the bench to shoot 5-for-10 from the field on the way to her team-best 12 points against SOU. She added eight rebounds, tying
Gabi Fenumiaifor team-high honors in that category. Fenumiai was Evergreen's only other double-figure scorer, going for 11 points.
Lacey Morrisled the hosts with five assists. Fenumiailed the Geoducks against Oregon Tech with 18 points, followed by
Uriah Thomaswith 14 and Elleby with 10. The Geoducks shot the ball well, finishing at 47 percent (23-for-49), including 4-for-9 from three-point land. Evergreen also enjoyed a 28-27 rebound edge, led by Fenumiai with seven. Morrishas her usual solid day running the point with seven assists.
