WOMEN'S BASKETBALL NOTES:Â With a Cascade Collegiate Conference women's basketball playoff berth still in sight, The Evergreen State College ventures east of the Cascades to face Eastern Oregon in La Grande on Friday and College of Idaho in Caldwell on Saturday. Both games start at 5:30 p.m., though it is absolutely worth noting that College of Idaho is located in the Mountain time zone, thus that game starts at 4:30 p.m. PST.

Gabi Fenumiai is the team leader in both scoring (12.9) and rebounding (8.0) average, and she is also shooting .540 from the field. Fenumiai ranks ninth, third and fourth among conference players, respectively, in those three categories.
Autumn Moorcroft averages 9.7 points and 6.0 rebounds per game,
Zaria Jones contributes 3.2 assists and 8.3 points per game, and
Corina Tacardon averages 1.9 steals per contest.
FENUMIAI ON FIRE:Â
Gabi Fenumiai been on fire in recent games with five consecutive double-doubles, and with seven total double-doubles this season she is tied for 23rd among NAIA Division II women's basketball players. In the conference, only Southern Oregon's Autumn Durand has more with eight. Fenumiai has scored in double figures in 13 of the last 16 games and she is averaging 13.0 rebounds per game over the last five contests. In addition to being nationally ranked with seven double-doubles, Fenumiai also sits in 18th nationally with her .540 field goal percentage.
ABOUT EASTERN OREGON:Â The Mountaineers, 17-4 overall and winners of 12 of their last 14 games, are ranked No. 19 in this week's NAIA Division II Top 25. With a 10-2 league record they are tied for second place, two games back of Southern Oregon. Eastern Oregon plays five of its final eight games inside Quinn Coliseum, where it is 6-0 this season. Maya Ah You, a junior guard, leads a balanced scoring attack with 13.1 points per game, and she also contributes an average of 4.8 rebounds. Payton Parrish, a junior guard, averages 9.7 points per game and shoots .480 from outside the three-point line, while junior forward Stormee Van Belle chips in 9.4 points and 5.8 boards per game. Eastern Oregon averages 74.3 points and allows 57.0 per game, and it also grabs an average of 9.3 more rebounds per game than its opponents. Other top team numbers include a .456 field goal percentage and .366 three-point marksmanship.
FIRST MEETING:Â Evergreen stayed with Eastern Oregon for a half on New Year's Eve night before the Mountaineers used a strong third quarter to run away with a 70-38 victory inside Costantino Recreation Center. The Mountaineers were 5-for-10 from beyond the three-point line as part of a 26-6 surge in the third period.
Corina Tacardon led Evergreen with 14 points, including a pair of three-point baskets, and she also picked up three steals.
RECENT RESULTS:Â Eastern Oregon has an 18-game winning streak over Evergreen with the last Geoducks victory coming by a 67-63 score on Feb. 16, 2008. Last season, Eastern Oregon beat Evergreen 70-55 in La Grande and 63-50 in Olympia.
ABOUT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: If nothing else, the Coyotes – who host Northwest on Friday night – are a team of streaks this season. They started the season with seven consecutive defeats, split their next two, won five in a row, and now have lost four in a row. That adds up to a 6-12 overall record and at 6-6 in the conference the 'Yotes are tied for fifth place. One of the top players in the league is senior guard Petra Lumpert, whose strong overall game is reflected in these per game averages – 17.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.9 steals. The native Slovenian is one of the league's best in terms of field goal (.489) and free throw (.798) percentage. Other top contributors include senior guard Madison Pilster with 12.0 points and 4.4 rebounds per game, and senior forward Jaycin Tini with 10.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per contest.
FIRST MEETING:Â Visiting College of Idaho played an effective up tempo game to defeat Evergreen, 82-66, in a conference game played Dec. 30 inside Costantino Recreation Center.

THE SERIES:Â College of Idaho leads the all-time series, 34-6, and it is 18-2 against the Geoducks in Caldwell. College of Idaho swept Evergreen last year, winning 71-66 in Caldwell and 75-66 in Olympia.
OREGON TECH 77, EVERGREEN 49:Â Oregon Tech won for the ninth in its last 10 games last Friday night, defeating host Evergreen by a 77-49 score inside Costantino Recreation Center.
Gabi Fenumiai had a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Geoducks.
SOUTHERN OREGON 64, EVERGREEN 49:Â The Geoducks were tied with conference-leading Southern Oregon at 45-45 in the fourth quarter last Saturday before the Raiders ran off 17 unanswered points to pull away for the 64-49 road win.
Gabi Fenumiai had a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds, and
Autumn Moorcroft added 14 points for the Geoducks, who finished with 14 assists on their 16 baskets.
