Deidra Miller scored 19 points and
Kaelin Williams-Kennedy added 11 off the bench Saturday night but it wasn't enough to prevent No. 7-ranked Eastern Oregon from beating The Evergreen State College, 96-58, in a Cascade Collegiate Conference women's basketball game played at Quinn Coliseum.
The Mountaineers (22-2 overall, 15-0 CCC) remained unbeaten in the conference while winning their 17th straight game. The Geoducks (9-12, 7-10), meanwhile, lost their sixth straight game and fell to seventh place in the conference standings.
The contest was tied just once, that at 4-4 after two consecutive jumpers by Miller, but Eastern Oregon took the lead for good the next time down the floor on a three-point basket by Maya Ah You-Dias.
In addition to scoring her 19 points, Miller also tallied six rebounds and three assists.
Cierra Moss led Evergreen with seven rebounds, but Eastern owned a 50-35 advantage in that statistic.
Ah You-Dias led Eastern with 27 points and was one of six Mountaineers to score in double figures. The hosts shot 49 percent overall and 45 percent from three-point range, including 5-for-8 by Ah You-Dias.
Evergreen returns to action at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday when it faces the Northwest University Eagles in Kirkland.
