COMING UP: Evergreen (0-11 overall, 0-7 Cascade Collegiate Conference) hits the road for conference games against Eastern Oregon (11-2, 5-0) in La Grande this evening and versus College of Idaho (6-7, 4-3) in Caldwell on Saturday. Both games are scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.

ABOUT THE GEODUCKS: Evergreen has come close a number of times but has yet to pick up its first win of the season. Senior guard Alexcis Higginbotham leads the team with 13.3 points per game, followed by senior forward Deidra Miller with 11.2 points and 5.5 rebounds. Merrily Jones, a junior post, leads the team with 6.7 rebounds and 2.36 blocked shots per game. 

ABOUT EASTERN OREGON: Since losing their first two games of the season, the Mountaineers have run off 11 straight victories. Senior guard Maya Ah You Dias, the reigning CCC Player of the Year, returned to the team four games ago and is averaging 18.0 points and 10.8 rebounds per game. Maren Herrud, one of the league's best three-point shooters, is averaging 12.5 points per game. The Mountaineers have a 22-game winning streak in the series, the last Evergreen victory coming by a 67-63 score on Feb. 16, 2008.

ABOUT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: The Coyotes, who host Northwest University this evening, have won five of their last six games. They are, however, still in search of their first home court victory this season, having lost their previous three inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center. Senior guard Alyssa Case is the team leader with averages of 14.5 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. The 'Yotes hold a 36-7 series lead over the Geoducks, including a 20-2 record in Caldwell.

LAST WEEK: The Geoducks dropped a pair of conference games at home, falling 82-50 to Northwest Christian and 65-56 to Corban. Evergreen junior guard Angela Sikora has been heating up from outside in recent weeks and scored a combined 27 points in the two games.
