The Evergreen State College women's basketball team is back in action to continue with Cascade Collegiate Conference play in Oregon on Friday at Northwest Christian and Saturday against Corban. Both games are played at 5:30 p.m.
About Evergreen: The Geoducks are 0-5 overall and 0-2 in conference play. Evergreen fell on Dec. 11 to Puget Sound. The Geoducks are led by this weeks conference Red Lion Player of the Week in Trinity Betoney, who averages 20 points a game and 8.4 rebounds a game. Betoney broke the school record in steals in a game against Puget Sound with 11. Jerri Maluyo has an average of 13.6 points a game and Anna Cook averages 10.2 points a game.
About Northwest Christian: NCU is 5-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play and defeated Pacific University on Tuesday. The Beacon are on a 3-game winning streak. Northwest Christian is led by Morgan McKinney, who averages 15 points a game and Aspen Slifka averages 10 points a game. Kayce Mock leads on the rebound with an average 6.7.
Recent Results: Evergreen is 4-8 overall against the Beacon. Northwest Christian has won the last eight game. The last win for Evergreen came in 2014-15 in Eugene with a score of 64-52.
About Corban: The Warriors are 6-4 overall and 2-1 in conference play. Corban is on a two-game winning streak after defeating Walla Walla on Dec. 6th and 7th. The Warriors are led by Jordan Woodvine, who averages 20.1 points a game. Kendra Murphy averages 9.1 points a game and Shaelia Burgess averages 8.8 points a game. Murphy leads on the rebounds with an average of 6.6.
Recent Results: Evergreen is 4-8 overall against the Warriors. Corban has won the last four games. The last win came in 2016-17 at home with a score of 64-61.
