Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. - Evergreen trailed by just three points entering the final period but couldn't stay with host Warner Pacific as the Knights pulled out a 72-63 Cascade Collegiate Conference women's basketball win on Saturday.
Deepika Kapil scored 23 points and hauled down 19 rebounds to lead Warner Pacific (15-12 overall, 11-9 CCC), which will advance to the conference postseason tournament that starts next week.
Angela Sikora scored 22 points and
Alexcis Higginbotham added 17 for the Geoducks (0-22, 0-18), who finish their season next weekend with a pair of non-conference games against Walla Walla University in College Place, Wash.
Evergreen stayed with Warner Pacific for most of the game, trailing 51-48 after three quarters, but couldn't overcome 22 turnovers and a 49-41 deficit in rebounding.
