OLYMPIA, Wash. -- The women's cross country team from The Evergreen State College will participate in the 2024 Cascade Collegiate Conference Cross Country Championships on Friday, Nov. 8 at the Rose City Golf Course in Portland, Oregon. The women's 6-kilometer race is set to begin at 11 a.m. PST.
Competing for the Geoducks in the women's race will be
Nadya Miller (So.),
Olivia Pare (Sr.),
Sherlyn Perales (Fr.),
Mara Schwenneker (Jr.),
Tabea Shepler (So.), and
Abigail Strickland (So.).
The defending women's team champion at the CCC meet is College of Idaho. The Yotes went on to win the 2023 NAIA Nartional Championship. In addition to Evergreen and College of Idaho, other teams competing in the women's race are Bushnell University, Corban University, Eastern Oregon University, Lewis-Clark State College, Multnomah, Northwest University, Oregon Tech, Southern Oregon University, and Walla Walla University.
Also competing at the CCC Championships will be the Evergreen men's team. Running for the men's squad will be Max Baeder (So.), Jaydon Blackburn (So.), Osvaldo Calderon (Fr.), Luis Esquivel (Fr.), Harlan Estrada (Jr.), Rowan Hicks (So.), Cooper Osborn (Jr.), and River Scheuerell (Sr). The men's 8-kilometer race is scheduled for 10 a.m. PST.
In each race, the top five runners from each team will contribute to the team's score. The next two runners on each team will displace runners from other teams.
