OLYMPIA, Wash. -- The Evergreen State College women's soccer team has returned to the campus to begin practicing for the 2026 season. Players were back at Evergreen on Aug. 1, and the Geoducks will see their first action in the Alumni Game on Saturday, Aug. 8. Game time at Geoduck Pitch on the Evergreen campus is set for 12 p.m. PDT.
Leading scorers who are returning for the Geoducks this season include
Madeline Dorendorf (Sr., F) and
Izzy Widener (Jr., F). Dorendorf and Widener each scored five goals in 2025, with Dorendorf adding one assist. Both played in all 15 games. Goalkeeper
Katie Gresham led the Geoducks last year with 66 saves and 841 minutes in goal. She played in 14 of 15 games and made five starts.
Head Coach Kate Green is in her third season as the head coach of the women's soccer team. In college, she played three seasons at Evergreen. She was named First Team All-Cascade Collegiate Conference at Evergreen in 2005 and 2008 and was chosen Honorable Mention All-CCC in 2007. At Evergreen, she scored 19 goals and earned five assists for 43 career points.
