Box Score ASHLAND, Ore. – The Southern Oregon women's soccer team is setting defensive records to start the Cascade Collegiate Conference season, and The Evergreen State College found out how good the Raiders are in taking a 3-0 loss on Friday afternoon at Raider Stadium.
The Raiders (8-3-1 overall, 5-0-0 CCC) limited the Geoducks to four shots, all in the second half, and blanked their program record fifth consecutive opponent to stay atop the conference standings. (Evergreen (2-4-1, 0-3-1), meanwhile, suffered its fourth straight shutout.
Southern Oregon opened the scoring at 13:52 with Megan McArthur getting her team-leading seventh goal of the season, the assist going to Kelsey Randall. The second tally came at 34:57 with Kylie Durant getting her first of the season. Presley Lambert picked up the assist for the Raiders.
At the half, the Raiders had outshot the Geoducks, 13-0, and also had a 4-0 edge in corner kicks.
The hosts made it 3-0 at 81:42, Maddy Spangler getting her second of the season with the assist going to Simone Schroder.
The second half was much more even as the Geoducks finally found their offense, getting off four shots compared to six for Southern Oregon.
Alli Crain had the lone shot on goal for Evergreen. The final shot tally showed the Raiders with a 19-4 advantage, and they took six corner kicks while conceding none.

Kayla Baskett finished with five saves, four in the first half, while Kylie Moltzen and Andi Rasmussen each played half of the game in the Southern Oregon goal.
The Geoducks are back in action tomorrow, facing the Oregon Tech Owls at noon in Klamath Falls.
