Box Score ASHLAND, Ore. – Autumn Moorcroft recorded a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds Saturday afternoon but it wasn't enough to prevent The Evergreen State College from dropping an 89-59 Cascade Collegiate Conference women's basketball decision to No. 4-ranked Southern Oregon at Mountain Avenue Gym.

The Raiders (10-1 overall, 3-0 CCC) never trailed in this one, racing out to a 24-8 lead at the end of the first quarter and pulling away from that point.

The Geoducks (3-7, 2-2) exchanged a pair of baskets with Southern Oregon in the first couple of minutes before Autumn Durand drilled a three-pointer from the left corner to start a run of 15 unanswered points by the hosts. Evergreen went 6 ½ minutes without a point and the game was effectively decided in favor of the defending conference champion and NAIA Division II national runner-up Raiders at that point.

Moorcroft got her double-double while playing all but one of the game's 40 minutes. Gabi Fenumiai was 6-for-7 from the field and hit all three of her free throws in scoring a team-high 15 points for the Geoducks. Chloee Hunt led the team with four assists.

Evergreen shot 41 percent overall and was 2-for-6 from three-point range, and while it enjoyed a 37-33 rebounding edge, 26 turnovers were simply too many against the nationally ranked Raiders. Southern Oregon, meanwhile, outscored the Geoducks by 18 points from beyond the arc by shooting 8-for-24 from distance. The Raiders shot 48 percent overall.

Durand hit her season average with 18 points for the Raiders, and she added 10 rebounds for a double-double. Majerle Reeves came off the bench to shoot 5-for-8 from three-point range to score 15 for Southern Oregon, which also got 15 points from Toria Bradford and 10 apiece from Demi Sahlinger and Daranda Hinkey.

Evergreen returns to conference action at 1 p.m. tomorrow when it faces the Oregon Tech Lady Owls in Klamath Falls.
