Box Score HELENA, Mont. - Carroll College, the two-time defending Cascade Collegiate Conference women's soccer champion, limited The Evergreen State College to just five shots on Saturday in taking a 2-0 victory.

The Saints (7-6-2 overall, 3-4-2 CCC) scored a goal in each half and got a combined shutout from goalkeepers Kevan Murfitt and Sydney Green, the latter of whom made her team's only save on a shot by Evergreen's Lexi Leohner in the 84th minute.

Jessica Becker gave the Saints the lead with an unassisted goal at 18:04, and Christina Plank finished the scoring at 65:53, scoring from about eight yards out following a pass from Makayla Welch. Carroll also had a penalty kick hit the left post and bounce away.

Emily Sorenson played all 90 minutes in goal for the Geoducks and finished the match with five saves.

Evergreen, which is mathematically eliminated from conference postseason contention, finishes out its season next week, hosting Rocky Mountain on Friday and College of Idaho on Saturday. Both matches kick off at noon and will be played at Capital High School.
