Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. – Jarrick Mitchell and Jonathan Jack-Nixon both finished with double-doubles but it wasn't enough to prevent The Evergreen State College from ending its 2016-17 men's basketball season with an 84-78 Cascade Collegiate Conference loss to Multnomah.

The Geoducks (7-19 overall, 4-16 CCC) took a 78-77 lead on Dalton Groenewold's three-point basket with 1:52 to play, but that was the last time that they would score. Multnomah (7-23, 3-17) scored the final seven points, including a momentum-changing three ball by Trever Cooley with 1:09 on the clock, to rescue the victory.

Mitchell tallied 14 points, 10 rebounds and five assists while playing all 40 minutes in his final game as a Geoduck. Jack-Nixon was just as impressive with 10 points, 12 boards and six assists in 34 minutes of action. Evergreen's other senior, Taylor Drey, concluded his career with 12 points in 39 minutes. Joining that group in double-figure scoring was Jaurence Chishold with 14 points.

The game featured just one tie and four lead changes as the hosts held the upper hand for the most part in what was generally a closely contested contest.

Multnomah raced out to a 7-0 lead and held that advantage throughout the game until the final five minutes when a Chisholm layup put Evergreen on top, 73-72, with 4:44 on the clock. The lead changed hands three times in the final minutes until the Lions took control in the final minute.

Darius Redrick led the Lions with 27 points, followed by Cooley with 17 and Moe Keita with 12.
