COMING UP: Wins are at a premium for the Evergreen Geoducks
this weekend as they host the University of Providence and Carroll College in Cascade Collegiate Conference women's soccer matches at Black Hills High School. The Geoducks and the Providence Argos are scheduled to start at 3 p.m. Friday, and a day later it will be Evergreen versus the Carroll Saints with a scheduled 2 p.m. start time. The matches have been moved to Black Hills High School because of the poor field conditions at Evergreen's Geoduck Pitch.
FOLLOW THE GEODUCKS: Evergreen soccer fans unable to attend home matches can still follow their favorite team via live stats at

SENIOR DAY: A total of six seniors will be honored prior to the start of Saturday's contest against Carroll. Those student-athletes are defender
Lexi Asher (Portland, Ore./Franklin HS), goalkeeper
Megan Breckenridge (Sequim, Wash./Sequim HS), defender
Felicia Collins (Centralia, Wash./Centralia HS/Peninsula CC), defender
Melyssa Nocis (Chehalis, Wash./Adna HS), forward/midfielder
Delaney Rice (Bayside, Calif./Arcata HS) and forward
Brook Swensen (Renton, Wash./Hazen HS).
ABOUT THE GEODUCKS: With three points from their 1-7-0 conference record and four matches remaining, the Geoducks face long odds in qualifying for conference postseason play. Currently 12th in the standings and nine points out of a playoff spot, at a minimum they need to win three of their last four regular season games and hope that both Providence - their opponent on Friday - and Corban lose all four of their remaining games. Making it more difficult is a recent run of poor form that has seen Evergreen lose four straight matches while getting shut out. In fact, the Geoducks have been blanked in 10 of their 13 matches this season, and they have allowed a total of 38 goals while scoring 10. Sophomore forward
Madison Early continues to lead Evergreen with eight points from three goals and two assists, and she is tied for the lead in goals with junior midfielder
Maddie Lockwood. Forward
Delaney Rice is the team leader with three assists, and she is tied with
Ana Vigil in goals scored with two.Â
EVERGREEN'S ELITE EIGHT: A total of eight Evergreen players have started all 13 of Evergreen's matches this season. Those eight are
Madison Early,
Delaney Rice,
Maddie Lockwood,
Ana Vigil,
Taylor Birdsall,
Alyssa Nordman,
Brook Swensen and
Melyssa Nocis.
ABOUT PROVIDENCE: The Argos are tied for seventh place in the conference standings with 12 points from a 4-4-0 conference record. They have one of the most prolific goal scorers in the CCC in forward Eme McLaughlin, who is tied for the league lead with 14 goals. With 30 points this season, she is second in total points and points per game. She also averages more than six shots per game, which ranks first in that category. Goalkeeper Dakota Neaumann has compiled a 1.64 goals against average this season.
ABOUT CARROLL: The Saints came into the league in 2015 and promptly won the conference regular season and tournament titles in their first two seasons. Last year, they finished ninth during the regular season and didn't even qualify for the CCC postseason playoffs. This year's team, which has scored 30 goals and allowed 15, is back on track to finish at or near the top of the standings. Lizzie Sheldon and Payton Netz are tied for the team lead with six goals apiece and Devan Murfitt is second in the league with 9.0 saves per matches.Â
LAST WEEK: The Geoducks took a long road trip to the bottom of Oregon last week and the long return trip was made more difficult by an 8-0 loss to Oregon Tech in Klamath Falls and a 5-0 defeat to Southern Oregon in Ashland.
