COMING UP: Evergreen (1-4-0 overall) begins its Cascade Collegiate Conference women's soccer schedule this weekend with a pair of matches in Oregon. The Geoducks face the Corban University Warriors (3-2-0) at 3:30 p.m. Friday in Salem and the Northwest Christian University Beacons (1-3-0) at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Springfield.

ABOUT THE GEODUCKS: Evergreen heads to Oregon with a 1-4-0 record through the non-conference season. After struggling offensively while losing three consecutive shutouts to open the campaign, the Geoducks have found plenty of offensive success in the last two matches. They have eight goals to their tally with a 6-1 win at Mills College and a 3-2 overtime loss to Saint Martin's on Tuesday night. Junior forward
Delaney Rice leads the team in scoring with seven points from two goals and three assists, while sophomore forward
Madison Early comes in with five points from two goals and one assists. A pair of junior midfielders,
Ana Vigil and
Maddie Lockwood, both have scored a pair of goals for Evergreen, which has scored eight and allowed 10 this season. Junior
Megan Breckenridge has a 1.99 goals against average and freshman
Daphne Hobbs has a 1.98 goals against average with the latter getting about 90 more minutes between the pipes this season.
SAINT MARTIN'S 3, EVERGREEN 2: Evergreen built a 2-0 lead just 12:10 into the match and led at the half, but Saint Martin's rallied to tie it in regulation and then won in overtime, 3-2, in a match played Tuesday night at Black Hills High School. The Geoducks got on the scoreboard early on goals by
Madison Early and
Ana Vigil, but the Saints rallied to pick up the victory. Saint Martin's ended up with a 19-11 advantage in shots, while corner kicks were even at 3-3.
ABOUT CORBAN: Hannah Shore is the leading scorer for the Warriors with nine points from four goals and one assist, while Elizabeth Brock has put together a 1.74 goals against average while playing every minute in goal. Corban, picked by conference coaches to finish second in the standings, has scored nine goals and allowed as many this season.
RECENT RESULTS IN THE SERIES: The Warriors have won nine straight and 10 of the last 11 in the series between the two clubs, including a 4-2 decision in Olympia last year. Evergreen's only win over the last 11 came by a 1-0 score in 2008 in Olympia.
ABOUT NORTHWEST CHRISTIAN: Things have been a bit rough for the Beacons this season as they have scored just two goals while allowing 11 through their first four matches. The team's lone victory came by a 4-0 score against Mills College, the same team that Evergreen defeated 6-1. Senior midfielder Libby Gregory scored three of the team's goals against Mills, and Katie Hastings has a 2.50 goals against average while playing every minute in goal for NCU.
RECENT RESULTS IN THE SERIES: Last year in Olympia, Northwest Christian picked up their third straight win in the series with a 2-0 victory. Prior to that, the Geoducks had recorded 3-0 wins over the Beacons in both 2014 and 2013. Over the last 11 meetings between the teams NCU has won seven and Evergreen four.
