Daphne Hobbs in picking up their first conference victory since the 2016 season. Early is the points leader for the team with eight from three goals and two assists, with
Delaney Rice at seven points on two goals and three assists and Lockwood with six points from three goals. The goalkeeping tandem of Breckenridge (1.77 goals against average) and Hobbs (1.70 goals against average combined for the teams first shutout of the season on Saturday.
ABOUT NORTHWEST: The Eagles are flying high after dropping their first five non-conference matches of the season, since that time winning four of five. Katie Michkiosky leads the conference with nine goals and she has added four assists, while Kat Sanchez is back in goal with a 1.85 goals against average.
LAST WEEK: Evergreen dominated Warner Pacific in statistics but couldn't find the net in dropping a 2-0 decision last Friday, the team's third straight 2-0 loss. The Geoducks outshot the visitors 26-7 overall, including 20-2 in the first half alone. The following day the Geoducks pressed into the second half before netting goals from
Maddie Lockwood and
Madison Early, who also had an assist on Lockwood's goal. The win ended a three-match scoreless streak for the team.
