Northwest Comes To Town To Face Women's Soccer

The Evergreen State College women's soccer team will play one match this week on Saturday against Northwest University at 1 p.m. on the Geoduck Pitch.
About Evergreen: The Geoducks are coming off their best weekend, defeated Multnomah on Friday 3-0 and Warner Pacific 2-1 on Saturday. Both matches were played in Portland. That was the first sweep on the weekend for Evergreen this season. Evergreen is eighth in the conference in goals a match with an average 1.55 and have scored 17 goals on the season. Evergreen is led by Madison Early, who has scored five goals on the season and teammate Maddie Lockwood has four goals for the season. Alexis Backus is back in the net for the Geoducks with 43 saves.
About Northwest: The Eagles are 11-2 overall and 7-0 in conference play. Northwest defeated Warner Pacific 3-0 and Multnomah 7-0 in Portland last weekend. The Eagles are currently second in the conference in goals a match with 2.77 average. They have scored 36 goals on the season. Northwest is led by Rylee Rassier, who has 15 goals on the year and right behind her is teammate Callie Wright, who has scored 13 goals. Kat Sanchez is back in the net for Northwest and has 42 saves on the year.

Recent Results: Evergreen is 0-5 in the against the Eagles. Last season in Kirkland, the Geoducks fell 6-0 and fell at home in 2018 3-0.
