The Evergreen State College women's soccer team is heading south to Portland, Ore., for a couple of matches. On Friday, the Geoducks will face Multnomah at 4:30 p.m. and see Warner Pacific on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
About Evergreen: The Geoducks are 3-6 overall and 1-4 in conference play. Last weekend, Evergreen defeated Northwest Christian 2-0 and fell 1-2 in double overtime to Corban. The Geoducks have scored 12 goals for far this season, and led by Maddie Lockwood, who has scored three goals and has two assists. Alexis Backus is back in the net for Evergreen and has 38 saves on the season.
About Multnomah: The Lions are 1-6 overall and 0-4 in conference play. Multnomah fell last weekend to Warner Pacific 1-3. The Lions have scored just three goals this season. Prisila Jaime, Justyne Sanchez and Persia Anderson have scored those goals. Trisha Priest is back in the net for Multnomah and has 66 saves.
Recent Results: The last time the two teams faced each other, Evergreen defeated Multnomah 2-0 in Olympia.
About Warner Pacific: The Knights are 2-5 overall and 2-2 in conference play. Currently Warner Pacific is on a two-match winning streak, defeating Multnomah 3-1 just this past weekend and Northwest Christian the week before 1-0. The Knights have scored five goals on the season. Kaitlin Hirasa and Miki Dart both have scored a goal on the season and each have an assist. The Knights' Alyssa Guthrie is back in the net and has recorded 43 saves this season.
Recent Results: Warner Pacific leads Evergreen 2-3-2 overall. The Knights defeated Evergreen 2-0 last season in Olympia and the two matches before that the match ended in a tie.
