OLYMPIA, Wash. -- The Evergreen State College women's soccer team is ranked 10th in the 2025 Cascade Collegiate Conference Preseason Poll. College of Idaho holds the top spot in the poll with all 13 first place votes and 169 total points.

Last year, the Geoducks finished 2-8-2 in the CCC and a 3-10-3 overall. Head Coach Kate Green is starting her second year leading the Geoducks.

Evergreen is set to open the 2025 regular season at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, on Thursday, Aug. 21 at 11 a.m. PDT. The Geoducks will start CCC play on Friday, Sept. 19 at Southern Oregon University.

College of Idaho received the top spot in the CCC Preseason Poll after going 12-0 in the CCC last year. The Yotes were 20-1-2 overall and reached the NAIA semifinals.

Oregon Tech was ranked second in this year's poll with 140 points. Eastern Oregon University held third place with 137 points and Carroll College (Mont.) was fourth with 132 points.

Southern Oregon was listed fifth in the poll with 107 points, while Rocky Mountain College (Mon.) was sixth at 101 points. Corban University and Northwest University followed in a tie for seventh with 87 points. Bushnell University was ninth with 73 points and Evergreen was 10th with 53 points.

Warner Pacific University was ranked 11th in the poll with 43 points. Rounding out the CCC Preseason Poll were University of Providence (Mont.) in 12th at 32 points and Walla Walla University in 13th with 22 points.

The top returning scorer for Evergreen is Alexandra Foley (Sr., D), who scored two goals and one assist in 2024. Foley was named Honorable Mention All-CCC after providing strong play on both offense and defense. Anna Varela (Sr., GK) also returns after playing 806 minutes in goal and earning 70 saves in 13 games for the Geoducks.
