HOME COURT ADVANTAGE: The Geoducks hope to improve their home court record to 2-0 after last Tuesday's 86-71 victory over the Northwest University Eagles.
Alix Hernandez recorded a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds as Evergreen put an emphatic end to a 14-game losing streak to Northwest.
Danny Powell added 17 points and nine rebounds in that game for the Geoducks.
LAST WEEKEND: Evergreen dropped a pair of games at the Clearwater River Casino and Lodge Invitational hosted by Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho. Last Friday, the Geoducks fell to Montana-Western, 100-89, despite 23 points from
Brock Otis and 22 points and 10 rebounds from
Danny Powell. The following evening the host Warriors topped the Geoducks, 94-65, with Powell tallying 22 points and nine rebounds to pace Evergreen. Powell ended up earning all-tournament honors for his two-game performance.

CONFERENCE PLAY ON THE HORIZON: Cascade Collegiate Conference play is around the corner for Evergreen, which gets its CCC slate started at Northwest University on Tuesday, Dec. 1. The team heads to Portland, Ore., for its next two conference games, playing Mulnomah on Friday, Dec. 4, and Warner Pacific on Saturday, Dec. 5. Tip off for all three games is 7:30 p.m.
