Women’s Soccer Home For First Time This Weekend

The Evergreen State College women's soccer team will compete at home for the first time this season, seeing Rocky Mountain on Friday and Providence on Saturday. Both games will be played after the men's game at 3 p.m.

About the Geoducks: Evergreen is 0-5-1 on the season and 0-2-0 in conference play. Evergreen fell to Southern Oregon (0-6) and Oregon Tech (0-2) this past weekend. The Geoducks are led by Sunny Bieber and Madison Spenker, both have scored two goals this season. Lucky Backus is back in the net for Evergreen and has 62 saves.

About Rocky Mountain: The Battlin' Bears are 4-1-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play defeating Providence 5-1 this past weekend. Rocky Mountain is led by Halle Labert, who has eight goals on the season and four other plays have one, including Amber Pearson who also added three assists. Morgan Blankenship is in the net for RMC, who has two saves.

About Providence: The Argos are 0-4 overall and 0-1 in conference play, falling to Rocky Mountain this past weekend. Providence is led by Cassidee Whitehead and Dani Chang, who both have one goal. Justine Humphy is in the net for the Argo and has 15 saves.  

Next Home Contest: After this weekend, Evergreen will be on the road for three games and then see Multnomah at home on Friday, Oct. 15th at 3 p.m.
