OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Four student-athletes on The Evergreen State College volleyball team have been named Academic All-District in NAIA women's volleyball for the 2025 season by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). Academic All-District selections for the Geoducks are
Bright Brubaker (So., OPP),
Amaialyne Cepeda (Sr., DS/L),
Zofia Formella (So., MB), and
Ashley Walker Campbell (Sr., OPP). Walker Campbell received the award for the second year in a row.
CSC Academic All-District honorees needed a 3.5 cumulative grade point average or higher and were required to be at least a sophomore academically and in terms of eligibility. In addition, qualifying student-athletes must have competed in at least 90% of the matches played by their teams or have started in 66% of the matches. Evergreen does not give letter grades, but the academic accomplishments of the nominated student-athletes were converted to a 4.0 GPA scale.

Brubaker, from Palmer, Alaska, and Colony High School, is focusing on Environmental Science as a student at Evergreen. This season, she played in all 24 matches and 70 of 74 sets. Brubaker provided the Geoducks with 33 kills, 35 assists, and 27 total blocks. While filling in as a setter, she earned 10 assists against University of Providence (Mont.) on Aug. 23.
In two seasons at Evergreen, she has accumulated 49 kills and 34 total blocks, while competing in 41 matches and 102 sets. Brubaker was chosen U.S. Bank Cascade Collegiate Conference Academic All-Conference in 2024 and 2025.

Cepeda is from Steilacoom, Washington, where she graduated from Steilacoom High School. She also attended South Puget Sound Community College before arriving at Evergreen. Her academic interest is in American Sign Language Interpreting. She earned 207 digs for 2.84 digs per set during the 2025 season. She played in 24 matches and 73 sets. She also earned 23 assists and 10 service aces. Cepeda was credited with 24 digs against Warner Pacific University in a 3-0 win on Nov. 7.
At Evergreen, Cepeda played in 44 matches and 135 sets over the past two seasons. She achieved 342 career digs to go along with 39 assists and 13 aces. She registered a career-high 30 digs versus Oregon Tech on Nov. 9, 2024. She was named Academic All-CCC in 2025.

Formella, who is from Allen, Texas, and Allen High School, led the Geoducks in 2025 with 144 kills and 1.95 kills per set while playing in all 24 matches and all 74 sets. She earned a .164 hitting percentage, while providing Evergreen with 15 service aces on offense and 32 total blocks on defense.
Over the past two seasons, she had produced 175 kills and 50 total blocks. She has played in 44 matches and 116 sets. She was credited with a career-high 13 kills versus Warner Pacific on Nov. 7, 2025. Formella's academic interest at Evergreen is Environmental Science. She was chosen Academic All-CCC this season.

Walker Campbell arrived at Evergreen prior to the 2023 season as a transfer student from Corban University. She is from Connell, Washington, and Connell High School. During 2025, she competed in all 24 matches and in 73 sets. She supplied the Geoducks with 104 kills (1.42 avg./set), 61 digs, and 28 total blocks. She attained 12 kills against Warner Pacific on Sept. 27 in a 3-2 win on the road.
In 65 career matches and 200 career sets, Walker Campbell has recorded 302 kills (1.51 avg./set), 96 digs, and 109 total blocks. Her career-high were 12 kills against Corban on Nov. 1, 2024 and seven total blocks versus Warner Pacific on Nov. 3, 2023. Walker Campbell previously was chosen Academic All-District in 2024. She was selected Academic All-CCC in 2024 and 2025. She is focusing on Political Science as a student.
