OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Tony Frohlich-Fair (Sr., W) on The Evergreen State College men's basketball team has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference McDonald's Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network. The honor was announced by the CCC Office on Monday, Jan. 5. Frohlich-Fair averaged 32.5 points per game during the week, including a career-high 37 points in Evergreen's 104-96 overtime win at Corban.

Frohlich-Fair shot 57.5% on field goals (23 of 40) in Evergreen's two games and converted 78.3% of his free throws (18 of 23). His 37 points against Corban on Jan. 3 tied him for 10th place on Evergreen's all-time single game list. Also against Corban, he grabbed 12 rebounds while earning seven assists and three steals. He gave the Geoducks an 89-88 lead on an offensive rebound and a layup with 14 seconds left in regulation. He put Evergreen in front for good at 94-91 on a 3-point basket with 4:09 remaining in overtime.

At Bushnell in a 104-80 loss on Jan. 2, Frohlich-Fair scored 28 points. He also registered seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals against the Beacons. He produced 15 points in the second half, when Evergreen was outscored by a slim 49-48 margin.

For the season, Frohlich-Fair leads the Geoducks and is ranked first in the CCC with 22.9 points per game. He also leads Evergreen with 6.4 rebounds and is tied for the team lead with 1.4 steals and 0.4 blocks per contest. He is second for the Geoducks with 2.8 assists per game.

Evergreen's overtime win against Corban was the first time the Geoducks scored 100 points or more in a CCC game since defeating Concordia University (Ore.) 107-97 on Jan. 15, 2010.

The Geoducks will take on CCC rival Northwest University on Tuesday, Jan. 6 in Kirkland, Washington. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. PST.
