OLYMPIA, Wash. -- The Evergreen State College volleyball team is ranked 10th in the 2026 Cascade Collegiate Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll. Eastern Oregon University is ranked first in the poll with nine first place votes and 118 total points. EOU won the CC regular season and tournament championships last year.
Evergreen was 4-16 in the CCC in 2025, with the Geoducks finishing 4-20 overall. Head Coach Carissa Bounds is entering her fourth season with the Evergreen volleyball team this fall.
The Geoducks will open the 2026 regular season on August 21-22 at the Friends Invitational, hosted by Friends University in Wichita, Kansas. Evergreen will battle Peru State College (Neb.) as well as Friends on Friday, Aug. 21. On Saturday, Aug. 22, the Geoducks will take on Oklahoma Panhandle State University and MidAmerica Nazarene University.
Eastern Oregon was followed in this year's CCC Preseason Poll by Corban University in second place with one first place vote and 106 points. Southern Oregon University and College of Idaho were tied for third place with 92 points. SOU received one first place vote.
Lewis-Clark State College was fifth in the poll with 74 points, and Bushnell University held sixth place with 69 points. Oregon Tech and Northwest University were tied for seventh with 52 points. Walla Walla University was ninth with 28 points, while Evergreen was 10th with 25 points. Warner Pacific University followed in 11th place with 14 points.
Returning kill leaders for the Geoducks are
Zofia Formella (Jr., MB/OH) and Sophia Sroggins (Sr., OH). In 2025, Formella pounded 144 kills and averaged 1.95 kills per set, while Scroggins provided 138 kills and 1.86 kills per set.
