Cascade Collegiate Conference Release
CORVALLIS, Ore. – After competing in the semifinals of the 2019 Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships, The Evergreen State College men' soccer program was picked eighth in the Coaches' Preseason Poll, released on Wednesday by the conference office.
Corban was picked to win the season with 11 first-place votes and 192 points. The Warriors finished the year with their seven-straight trips to the NAIA Championships and finished with a 17-0-3 record after claiming both the regular-season and tournament championships.
Rocky Mountain College was picked second with 176 points and Southern Oregon grabbed three first-place votes and 167 points.
The Geoducks defeated Rocky Mountain in the quarterfinals of the 2019 championships and fell to Corban in the semifinals.
Evergreen was picked eighth with 106 points. Following the Geoducks was Carroll College (9th, 94 points), Warner Pacific (10th, 83 points), College of Idaho (11th, 79 points), Bushnell (12th, 42 points), Walla Walla (13th, 28 points) and Multnomah (14th, 21 points).
Evergreen is returning leading scorer in
Joe DiCarlo, who had seven goals and three assists.
Maxton Hauser also returns and he had four goals and four assists. DiCarlo was named to the All-Conference Honorable Mention.
The Geoducks lost
Mitchell Balmer, who had seven goals and six assists and
Tino Pantaleon, who had five goals and five assists. Balmer was named to the All-Conference Honorable Mention and Pantaleon was named All-Conference Second Team.
